Urban Renewal Projects
Urban Renewal refers to a process utilized by governmental entities that is designed to encourage development in blighted urban areas by assembling property into more cohesive parcels.  These parcels are then usually cleared and conveyed to private developers for re-use.  W.D. Schock Company works with public government agencies and private developers to help them understand their obligations when acquiring property and relocating occupants from urban renewal areas.  We provide a full range of services on these projects, including conducting public meetings with affected occupants, development of relocation plans and related required documents, litigation support, and turn-key property acquisition and relocation services.
Land acquisition and relocation of affected occupants due to urban renewal projects can be particularly contentious.  However, W.D. Schock Company has developed strategies and approaches that have proven successful in completing site clearance at urban renewal sites in a sensitive, timely and cost efficient manner.
